The Town of Fogo Island would like to remind residents that a permit is required for:
• New construction
• Extensions to buildings
• Demolition
• Exterior renovations (new windows, door's, siding, roofing, shingles, decks, footings, etc.)
• Repairs and maintenance
• Fencing
• Relocation of buildings
• Alterations to land, including hard surfacing, landscaping, excavating, ditching, depositing fill and the clearing of land.
• Installation of septic systems
Residents are also reminded that a permit must be obtained prior to the commencement of any work.
