Kelp and Island Futures in 2045 Workshop

Please join us in welcoming back Ajith Raj, a PhD student who spent several months on Fogo Island in 2025 conducting research for his PhD and working with the Town on Industry Diversification and Labour Market Development strategies. Ajith’s research is funded by Future Ocean Coastal Infrastructure Project (FOCI) at Grenfell Campus, with Dr. Paul Foley—a professor at MUN and a native of Tilting—serving as Ajith’s supervisor. As part of his research, he is organizing a follow up to his community workshop held in October where we will come together to share some of his insights and his future casting scenarios. This workshop is a space for conversation, creativity, and visioning- your voices and stories are at the heart of it. All are welcome!
